It was four years ago that I last attended Holy Week services. The world looked so different then. The church door closed a month before Holy Week in 2020. We celebrated Easter on our living room floor, tears streaming down our faces. In 2021, things still didn’t feel safe enough for in person worship, so we streamed most of worship in our car, then drove to church to receive Holy Communion the parking lot. Last year, the littlest came down with an unknown virus, so we snuggled on the couch and watched worship online once again. Yesterday, the four of us all tested positive for Covid, so it looks like once again, we’ll be doing Holy Week at home. If you, like us, are stuck at home for Holy Week this year, here are some ideas on how to remember the holiness of the days.

I’m feeling okay, but my head is really foggy. The last time I had Covid, it took my body and mind six weeks to get back to normal. Because of that, I am giving myself the grace to not write as regularly this month. I appreciate your understanding, and your hanging out here until I’ve recovered and can give you my very best effort.
